What our reports are

ThaiGear reports and recommendations are written for you, the owner. They help you understand the condition of a house, plan repairs and set a budget.

A typical report includes photographs, comments and a checklist based on what could be seen and reasonably accessed at the time of our visit.

What they are not

• They are not official documents.
• They are not prepared for court, for a dispute, or for submission to authorities, and ThaiGear does not prepare reports for those purposes.
• They are not an engineering certificate, a structural assessment, a legal opinion, a valuation or a guarantee that a house is free of defects. Hidden or inaccessible defects may not be found.

Our relationship with Handyman Hua Hin

We work closely with Handyman Hua Hin. For homes and projects built by Handyman, ThaiGear is not an independent party, and we say so openly: Handyman builds, and ThaiGear controls quality and communicates with you in English. When you are buying a house built by someone else, or having a project built by another company, we assess it on its own merits and report to you, the owner.

If you need an official report

If you need an official, legally valid inspection report, for example for a dispute, we can refer you to an independent licensed engineer. That report is issued by the engineer under the engineer's own responsibility, not by ThaiGear Solutions. Whether any document is accepted in a legal process is decided by the court or authority concerned.

Repair quotations

After a check-up we may pass on a repair quotation from our collaboration partner, with the discount shown in our service description. You are not obliged to use it, and you may ask any contractor you choose to quote.

Your decisions

Our recommendations are advice. You decide whether and how to act on them. To the extent that Thai law permits, ThaiGear Solutions Co., Ltd. is not liable for loss that results from decisions taken on the basis of our reports without further professional advice where it was needed.
